SWF as index

How do I make an swf file my index page on my website?

do I change it to index.swf?

or do i need to make an html page that opens to it?

I'm not sure off hand but a good way to learn I think is checking out other pages that do similar things, like greenday.com has a page flash intro, you could view the source of that. Or use Frontpage to do it and see how the code is made up in that.

you make a regular index file (index.html, index.php, index.shtml, or whatver)

and you embed the flash document inside it

yea.. if you don't know how to do it code wise, just open up flash 5 or MX and theres an option to create one for you.

just an observance of your site prom, not everything has to open in a new window.
