My puter running 24/7 often left alone for days started to climb over 55º C
(I know the rating for the XP 2600+ is 0-85º C ) but I wanted to be sure and safe. So I did a quick summer fix, some cardboard, masking tape and a couple of fans. So now it stays under 120º F in a room temp of 85º F

I not here that often mostly due to time differences but visit once in a while.

I am mostly on a UK forum (just 1 hr time diff) there I am a mod.

The rat mod works perfectly, the duct straight into the CPU fan sealed
from contact with inside case air seems to be really good.

is your comp loud now?

No it is not loud the fans I use are quiet and the cardboard does not resonate as much as sheet metal, the noisiest one is the PSU fan and I might get a less noisy PSU at some point.
