Extra memory for your digital Camera

Any draw backs to adding more memory to the memory card on your digital camera? What are the major differences between a MicroDrive and a CompactFlash?

Compact flash is big, and cheap, but only works in some, usually older, cameras.

However, Microdrives are bigger, but less reliable.
My newest camera uses SD.

MicroDrives are usually capable of holding much more memory.

I messed up and fixed my error in my post - I forgot what microdrives were. I have a microdrive for my old camera (4gb). I've heard that microdrives can fail like harddrives, so that's something to keep in mind.

Also, a lot of MP3 players work on MicroDrives. (Usually the ones with less than 10 GB)

ipod nano, anyone? Or maybe it's an SD card?

I think it should be SD

SD is good, but not all cameras support it...
