Re: Scratched Window

I got a window kit a while ago and scratched it while putting that blasted lock sttrip in. Is there a way to buff out the scratch? I am going to get a tool to do it from now on but this just sucks.

look at radioshack or some shop of that sort. there´s some stuff used for polishing scratches out of handy displays. i think its even named scratch remover. shouldn´t bee too pricy and used with a towel theres no chance wrecking the plastic any further like as if you were using water-sandpaper or stuff like that ;)

be careful if you get something to gritty your going to scratch the window even worse. Might just be easier to stop by your local hardware store and get a piece of plexiglass!!!

;D Kewl thanks guys. I figure if it's gona be messed up anyway I will just try to buff the scrathes and if that don't work I will get a new one. Stupid locking strip pisses me off. If anyone knows the name of the tool to get those lil bastards in there that would be great. Thanks!

I heard if you use water it helps it slide in and the water evaporates after it lubricates the rubber.

PCMods.com sells some polish... and if for the locking strip... this might be funny but KY Liquid or a sexual lubracant could work well.. :P LOL i'm serious
