MPAA sued
|
that's awesome... although torrentspy has no chance because of $
|
I really hope torrentspy stays active like it is now, its such an awesome site.
|
Someone sent me this story yesterday and I loved it. I hope they really do have solid evidence connecting the MPAA to this hacker. That would be great stuff.
I may respect the copyrights of movies and music but I do not respect the orignizations responsbile for protecting those copyrights in the US, the RIAA and MPAA. |
Whoa, interesting story. Torrentspy will win if they win in court, or simply if never even reaches court, as it shows that they won't let themselves be pushed in a corner.
I don't think they'll win, but it's a nice move nonetheless. |
IF I was the MPAA, I would make an example out of TorrentSpy...

Well these guys had it coming; we're talking about extortion and blackmail here.
As for Torrentspy, they are guilty of "facilitating" the piracy job...but will that be enough to stop them; it's like saying that the Internet is "facilitating" the theft of softwares  |
i was just speaking generally about making examples of people or groups ... not whether they had it coming or not, which I agree they did have it coming and it's hilarious.
|
wow. interesting link! and they totally DID have it coming.
