What firewall is better to install?

What will be a better one firewall I can download and use for free, that will come with my windows xp and won't slow it down? :(

well i got avg firewall/antivirus/spam thingy and the only time it slows down my computer is when it updates....which is once a day i set it for 11pm so i know when to get off games =P
