help with video card!!
I put my new computer togethor today and I got windows installed. But my graphics are shitty as hell and I have a ATI Radeon 128MB video card in there working properly. I looked in the windows device manager and didnt find anything. Do I have to do something in BIOS? The video card didnt come with any drivers, just a cd. Please help..

Re: help with video card!!
What OS?
It seems you don't have the drivers loaded. Install the drivers from the CD. |
Re: help with video card!!
Windows 98..When I try to install the display drivers off the cd rom, it installes "Standard VGA Display driverS"

Re: help with video card!!
Intreasting. Hmm. You can try an INF install instead of the executable.
Get to your Display Settings (one with background, screensaver..etc..etc). Then go to Settings -> Advanced -> Adapter -> Change -> Next -> Search for... -> Specify Location - > browse. Go to the CD and Thier should be a directory called win98 (you may have to search for it). It should contain the driver for your video card. And this *should* work. *sigh* Another reason why I always prefer Nvidia, because they let windows install the drivers, instead of thier own program, which can cause problems |
Re: help with video card!!
ok, ill try it
PS: I have the same mobo as you. =] |

Re: help with video card!!
Didn't have to burn it. just run it off the HD :P
but yeah I guess it's better if you burn it. so you'll always have it just in case |
