Geforce 9800 GT 1gb DDR 3
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.3 ghz @ 1333
Gigabyte S-Series Ep43-ds3l
4 gb Kingston Value Ram ddr2 pc2 6400 800 mhz
Samsung HD 1TB SATA (for storage)
Some random 160 GB SATA HD (for OS)

So first I put all this together with a 450 wat PSU...

No dice. The PSU popped and I had to replace it..... with a nice Antec 550 W psu...

Put everything back together and plugged it in and flipped the PSU switch! and it came alive! LED's Fans, CPU, GPU HUZZAH!!!!

Only problem is now when I plugged it into my dads monitor (the one im typing on right now...)

nothing came up...theres no beeps or anything...just the CPU running and the sound of things coming to life...

I'd like to think that my CPU has not been fried by the PSU pop...but its possible, though I'd like to think that there is something blatantly obviously wrong with it that im being a knuckle head about.

I like Antec power supplies, but even with 550, you might be pushing your luck. Have you tried reseating the RAM and reseating everything. Otherwise try clearing the CMOS. It sounds like you ruled out faulty monitor as a problem. Anytime you can test a part in a different rig is always a huge help. See if any of that helps.

In any case, If you toasted your processor, you should still be able to get to your BIOS. Also, Your POSt would give you the "bad processor" error code. I agree with Wicker, the PSU seems a little weak for all your running.

I thought that might be the case, so I unplugged one of my HDs and tried it. STILL nothing. 550 should be enough for 1 drive and 1 HD.

It's the 9800 GT and the core2 quad that have me worried, not so much the HDD and the optical drive (they won't use more than like 20 watts together, and that's kinda over estimating). You still may want to try reseating everything if you haven't already.

3 of my CPU pins on the motherboard were bent.

So. Had to drop another 120$ on a mobo. Installing vista and ubuntu later :-D

If you feel daring enough, you could probably salvage the motherboard by bending the pins back in place with a tiny screwdriver. I don't know how bad your damage is, but I've saved a few mobo/processors from the trash by doing that.

A mechanical pencil works perfectly for this.
