ASP.NET vs PHP
I've recently learned some asp.net and its a pretty simple/solid programming language to use.
I've tried to learn php but i could never get php and mysql installed correctly (win xp pro); also i couldnt find a good tutorial site for php (plz dont say php.net ... been there) any suggestions would be appreciated; thanks |
solid perhaps, faster, no
dualboot XP /w 98SE, and try apache/php/mysql on that :) |
apache, php + mysql are dead easy to install and configure... RTFM works great... though there is one thing with php + apache because of the 2.0.36 of apache and the dll which php includes doesn't work so you need to get the latest... don't know if its been put in the latest stable download yet though
if you want any help installing and configuring all 3 drop into IRC and ill help ya... ill be on tonight in 5 1/2 hours (2100 UK Time, GMT+1) o and btw im running win xp pro as well ;) |
You don't even need to dual boot with 98, because it works the exact same as with XP alone.

oh "installed correctly" I thought it just woudlent work. Woudlent suprise me anyways
|
ill be upgrading soon so im not goipng to bother tryuing to get it all set up before then; but when i do upgrade ill keep your offer in mind rogue :)
