Software Fanbus Goodness
 

Hardware-test.dk has a pretty nifty setup with a software fanbus that's controlled through the parallel port. The electronics are pretty complex, but their schematic is pretty well laid out. IT's a pretty intresting setup, using 12 transistors and a couple diodes in the connection to the parallel port rather than a CMOS chip or just the direct switches.
