Thoughts

Just got another idea at random and wondered if any one had seen/tried it. We all know its a pain in the ass if you have usb in the back of your box. Thats why many of us have some mounted the things in the front. My idea is this...
Why not mound a couple usb on the top of my desk. I could easily plug a device in and out and would cut down on some of this clutter. Infact you could put almost any kind if port you wanted directly in the top of your desk should you so desire.

Any thoughts ?

but it would be cooler in the desk instead of just a box on the desk. plus u could hide it if u want an u could hide te wires too.

yeah, thats a pretty good idea. my fiancee wants to open a coffee shop one day, and i suggested to have some computers in there too, then i got the bright idea of running a lan through the place and putting the network jacks on each table, that way people could bring their own laptops and plugin to the lan.

i'm sure its been done before, but i just thought i'd share that, kinda onthe same lines i think.

later.

Mabye i was unclear, That wast my plan was putting them into the desk. Drill or cut out the wood and make a port int the top of my desk i could thus plug devices into my desk. As for putting jacks int a table at some sort of food place would have to take consderations(not to get food or drink int them)

well, the rj5 jack would be underneath the table top, so that nothing could really fall into it. but i see your point with that.
