FCC Orders Us to Watch Digital TV?
 

"Santa Monica, CA (August 8 ) -- Leave it to the government to order you to do something -- and then make you pay for it.

That's exactly what the Federal Communications Commission did this morning when it voted to require all TV makers to include digital tuners in their sets by 2007. The manufacturers must include the tuners in large-screen TVs (36" and above) by 2004."
