New networking device

Put an end to network problems with old equipment. Introducing the Ether-Killer (strait from the Bastard Operator From Hell article on the register). Just plug it in and watch the smoke roll.

Hehe, funny. It's kind of scary, though, because there actually are power-over-ethernet accessories available. They use the two pairs of wire not utilized by 100 mbps and transmit moderate voltages ove them. The huge issue, however, is that if you have even one wire in the wrong place, you can fry some stuff badly...probably just about as well as with this "product." :o

The two pairs not used in a ethernet cable was ment to be used
for telephoning but is seldom used as such, I wonder how many
miles of unused cable is drawn, should have been just two pairs
from the beginning.

You know the real sick part. The cable and the plug both still have UL listings stamped on them. "What where you doing pluggin' that it??" " Well I didn't know it was unsafe it was UL Listed."
