 PISSED OFF!
hey long time no post....anyways i'm looking in too water cooling for my rig 'cept i want something kick ass anyways what i need is some CLEAR PVC pipe...i know they make it in black and white even bright orange and i've seen it in a pic of another rig so they make it clear, but the looser ass town i live in doesn't supply it so i was wondering if any one knew of a CANADIAN supplier and i've looked in the search engines and i can't find one
any help would be appriciated BTW i need 3 too 4 inch diameter and about 2 feet long well i'll prolly end up having too buy more of it...it's for a reservoir |
I cant i know or have ever heard of clear PVC, but i do know of a retail product that might work for you, its made by a company called innovatek (im my opinion the hard asses of water cooking kits) in germany but there are places online in the US that sell there products.

i've seen that product and it's too tall and too expensive too cut down too the size i need
what i'm doing is taking my Antec SOHO case and cutting out those ribbed things in the front and sticking my reservoir there for looks u know what i mean? what i really need is a 4 inch diameter piece of pipe about 9-10 inchs tall and cut in half length wise so it's a semi circle, get what i mean? |
good idea, that will look hella cool. Good luck with the project, and be sure to post lots of PICS!!! :)

I have an idea. There is a place around where I live that sells something like that. I used it to make a 6' bong when I was in high school. I would suggest actually buying a little bong somewhere and then using that. You could even get different colors.

*LOL* to funny :) well my stance on watercooling as of right now is no matter what sometime watter has to leak and that does not mix well with electronics *LOL* Also do watercooling systems have condesation problems..?
|
I don't think that they have condensation problems unless you use a peltier. The water is usually at about room temperature. I have never used water cooling but have done quite a bit of reading on it. I will have a water cooling setup very soon.

:P
Interesting, I would be worried the metal sink with water going through it would start condesation on the outside, but I guess people have been doing it for a long time now with no problems.
|
I think that to create condensation you would have to have the water much colder than the air around it. Now if you add ice to the water that may cause you some problems.
