Where can you get the ultra bright LEDs?
|
yeah i was going to ask that
also where can you get LED lights that have 2 colours in one bulb? the samsung ODDs have just one LED light which can create red and green as it seems ive taken the faceplate off and studied it but i could only find one bulb inside the black plastic casing... this makes it hard for me to choose what to use for the mod |
www.jameco.com
as soon as the site comes back up ill post the links to the LED's and as far as I know no one makes ultrabright bi-polar (2 color) LED, only the standard brightness for those :( |
wow thank u soooo much
modnoob will be glad to see this  |
i hope the server get back on soon
cause im anxious to see how exactly this bi-colour technology works |
basically it works the same as a regular LED but when you reverse the polarity on the legs of a 2 pole LED or use the third leg of a 3 pole LED the current lows the opposite direction producing a different light color
|
are you sure by reversing the polarity will change the colour?
i thought it simply just wont work if u get the opposite polarity but nevertheless, thank you so much for showing me the site and please provide us with the direct link when the server is up thank you again |
sorry for my ignorance
the server is on now and im doing some browsings and found this https://www.jameco.com/cgi-bin/ncomm...s=503;522;711; it is done by reversing the polarity you were right thanx again  |
Yep, I meant bipolar LED's only. If you reverse polarity on a normal LED it won't work.
Also here ya go for the ultra bright blue https://www.jameco.com/cgi-bin/ncomm...s=503;522;711; and this one is a red / green bipolar that is 5mm https://www.jameco.com/cgi-bin/ncomm...s=503;522;711; I had noticed the one you were looking at was 3mm in size. |
