(insert cheap drum roll)

MICROSOFT

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...=go+%2Bto+hell

That's right 10 years of doing it wrong. 20 million people that think AOL rocks can't be wrong.

Uranium-235 09-18-2002 01:01 PM

umm. wrong.

"go to hell" does not return anything with microsoft

go +to hell

which returns the combonations of "go to" and "to go" would of course return microsoft. "where do you want to go today"

Grinnin Reaper 09-18-2002 03:18 PM

Actually it is right. To make google search for anything with the word "to" you have to add the + sign. Otherwise it omitts the word. The only way to make it search for all three words it to add the + to the word "to".

CiKoTiC 09-20-2002 01:47 AM

eviltechie 09-20-2002 02:07 AM

Raven 09-20-2002 11:55 AM

Third one down was AOL... no surprise there.

vee_ess 09-20-2002 06:27 PM

Its actually because all Google does, is it keeps a list of pages and all links to them, and keeps tabs on the number of links. Then it finds all sites with any of the text, or exact text, anywhere in its links or text. Then it organizes it by which one has the most links. This actually means MS has the most referring links of any of them showing their size on the internet.
