Air flow
just a random question , is it beter to have + airflow or - eg have more CFM going than going out yer case
|
you should have equal intake and exhaust. if the intake lets too much in and the exhaust can't release (heated)air efficiently.
just keep it even |
Hmmm here are my .02...
with negative airflow you will not have as efficient heat dissapation, like xMerCLorDx, pointed out... If you have a too positive air flow, you will get more acumulation of foreign particles in your case: Dust... so you will need to use some type of filtration on your fan... Sry if I didn't really answer your question, but it's one of personal choice... |
filtration
how would you filter it?
|
EQUAL!
you dont want a near vacuum case nor a hot gas chamber it is proven that equal amount of air movements is best for ventilations. filter is nice... you know those black foam packs that come in a mobo box? with a good thickness and holes... it makes a cheap and very ghetto filter just duct tape the corners and voila! |
Actually I have a slight vacume in my case, sucking all the air out + some extra and I now have 2 degree colder chip, before airflow was equal.

http://www.techwarelabs.com/communit...opic.php?t=640 was my answer to dust. Easy mod and descent filtration.

mobo black stuff
oh.. glad i saved that black stuff.. should i use that on the power supply too? that gets pretty dusty as well
