I think that's kinda dumb. They have like, a huge release party, basically, for their software, and pay some celebrity thousands of dollars to come to it. Why not just drop the monthly cost $1 and *not* pay the celebrity to come. I also think it's kind of dumb that Microsoft got into the ISB business, presumably just because AOL/TW, a huge competetor, does it.

Like Microsoft is any different. Remember the Win 95 launch event?

MSN is also launching MSN 8.0. They are just trying to out-do each other. Kind of like AMD and Intel always releasing processors right after the other to stay in competition.

There is always two companies trying to get your money. MSN AOL, intel AMD, Boeing Airbus you name it and there is at least two companies fighting against each other.

Remember that $1 amonth = $35 million a month to them, and they're still losing money.

Now where could all the money go to?????
Could it be all those free cds (coasters) we get through the mail? It could also be that they have a large overhead in all areas especially the advertising dept.

if i work for AOL

i would tell them to move to broadband for noobs
that will make things better for them
