Term of the day: PoE

Short for Power over Ethernet, a solution where electrical current is run to networking hardware over the Ethernet Category 5 or higher data cabling. No extra AC power cord is needed at the product location, minimizing the amount of cables needed and/or the hassle of installing extra outlets.

I would guess you could run a hub or small switch on it but I've never seen one. But here's a link to "power cord" http://www.techwarelabs.com/communit...pic.php?t=1940

Oh, yeah I remember that one  It should power the router for a few...milliseconds :o
I think PoE never really florished, maybe to much danger of plugging in to non-compliant gigabit equipment and smokin' the whole network :firedevil:
