41.03 nvidia drivers available :)

Just found some VERY good drivers! Have a forced refresh rate built in for 2000 and XP, you just tell it the frequency vs. res!! Just like NV refresh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is sweet, i am tired of being stuck at 65 hertz.

I am going to go download them now. :)

I'm not moving to NT cause of that refresh bug

I'll wait for linux to become mainstream (as in preferred over windows by the general public), then maybe I'll move to something other then 98 :)

for those who are concerning about the refresh rate bug but does not want to get the 41 detonator

try a google search on Riva Tuner

it is one of the best program i used to tweak NVIDIA cards
it has overclocking features
refresh rate fix
and a whole lot more tools :google:

I would think they could hardcode a refresh fix into the drivers. Why can't they do this? I hate having to use seperate programs to fix this problem.

eviltechie 10-29-2002 02:01 PM

what exactly is the refresh bug anyways?

ive read about it but dont really understand because it has not happened to me yet

accurateimage 10-29-2002 02:24 PM

the 41.03 drivers have the refresh rate in the drivers so just download them and tell it what frequency you want and that's it! I personally used to use NV refresh for it was super fast and easy.

It has happened to you, you just do not know it *LOL* if your running windows 2k or XP the screen sure will do 75+hz or whatever you set it at, but if you go to play a game, even if you set the game to a higher frequency xo or 2k auto knocks it down to 60hz. Get the refresh fixer and or forces every application to run at whatever frequency you desire!

eviltechie 10-29-2002 02:37 PM

oh man that sux...

gotta fix it!
i agree with Uranium
why cant they just make the new driver with the fix included??

accurateimage 10-29-2002 02:40 PM

dood the new drivers do fix it, no matter what in any wondows you have to set your refresh rate, in this case you just have to do it once in the "monitor" menu, then once more in the drivers display and your all set :)
