Detonator 40.72 XP bug...

i've gota 128mb GF3 Ti200 running with WinXP + SP1 and i just downloaded Detonator 40.72 drivers...

now ive rebooted, and when i goto display properties > GF3 Ti200 tab it crashes with a problem in nvcpl.dll :(

anyone else had this?

im going to tryout 41.03 now...

i havent heard of that yet
but there are a few bugs in 40 and 30 also

for Geforce 2 and 3 cards, i would recommend using 29
that seems like the most stable and best fit for the older cards

never had it happen to me! I was running the 40.72's for over a month

not happening to me either

i guess it was just a bad installation
try the 29

30.82 works fine, its just if i try to use the newer 4x ones it buggers, accurate what version are you using

also it isn't a bad installation as i tried both 40.72 and 41.03 multiple times, from different downloads incase the setup file was corrupted

I use 41.03 with perfect success! :)

I've had exactly the same problem. I'm using a Ti500 Hercules Prophet III.

The 40.41's from Hercules work but anything above that has exactly the same problem you mentioned.

:(

Haven't found a way around it yet!

I get better performace from the 40.72's (Win XP SP1) but lose out on the settings!

I used detanator cleaner to get rid of the 30x driers installed, then I installed the 40.71's and have been running flawlessly for quite a long time

Det 40's

My Detonator 40.71's were a clean install under XP. Nothing in there before them!

I c that 41.09's are about now.

Don't know if it's worth trying them!
