Why does apache not display the jpg images here...?

have you ever tried to copy the image location to your address bar?

I get forbidden, check and see if it has full permissions enabled

chown -r /local/apache/htdocs/*

i forget, haven't used linux in a while

but i know that ur problem is in ownership.

OMG => you're right, it was the permissions on the images... that was very freeking stupid of me !!!
