Dual Monitor on Linux

I have a GeForce4 mx440 and a 2MB S3 Virge.
Is it possible to run both cards at the same time and still have Hardware acceleration on the GF...?

yup

Geforce4 on AGP
and S3 on PCI

both cards should work independently

Could you tell me how to do that. I'm using mandrake 9.
A buddy of mine tried to do it on his system but he couldnt get the GF to do hardware acceleration while the other card was enabled.
hence my question... HOW?
