G6 FTP Server - Behind Router
How do I setup G6 so I can use my global ip..not my router IP? In other words how do I make it so people can connect to me. Router ip = 192.168.0.154. any help?

Well, people on the internet are going to connect to you using your WAN IP address. You can find this by going to whatismyip.com. Then, on your 'router,' you'll need to forward TCP port 21 to your FTP server's LAN ip address (192.168.0.x). You can find this by running 'ipconfig' from the command line on a box running the NT kernel, or 'winipconfig' on a box running then 9x kernel. (There should be some page for port forwarding or virtual servers in your 'router' configuration page.)

K, i want to use g6 but it keeps trying to use the router IP and i want it to use my IP but i need to use a service like no-ip.com since my ip is dynamic. it just flatly refuses to use this or even if i enter the IP manually in the field.

Just add internal address to the route table on your external router. No port forwarding ... it's not possoble to do it on regular router.

Server behind a router?
Why would you add the external address to the table rather than going thru the DMZ and open the ports?
