I still have to get a router, but my new PC is up and running. She is a beaut! Not to mention the sound is absolutely AWESOME! I am going to love gaming on this thing..........

And the microphone works too! God am soooo excited... I just love it!

Could never tell could you. This machine makes my old pc look like a tricycle compared to a ferrari!

I don't play any online games yet. My old pc was way to slow for that. I will be getting a cable connection in January and then I am going to explore. I have heard of a couple of really awesome online games, like Everquest that I would like to check out. I think with new pc and cable I should be pretty good to go.

A friend a work sent me a link to two games he said I should try. I don't remember the names though and I don't have the link on my pc at home. I will forward it home on Monday and let you know what they are. He said they are VERY addictive.

As far as installed games, I have only a couple. Nothing real exciting. Most of my software is programming related. Over the last couple of years I have either been at work or school. No time to play. Once I got my AS, I have had more time for work, but no extra time to play. Now that things are slowing down at work, I find I have a lot more time on my hands and can actually leave at 5:00 most of the time.

But that also means I have more time to go back to school and get my BA. I haven't decided if its worth it yet or not. I might wait another year.

Do you have any ideas what type/genre of games you might be interested in? I personally am a big fan of the first person shooters (FPS's), but Deus Ex was like, the best single player (SP) game ever. It was reported as a combination between FPS and role-playing game (RPG). I played a little StarCraft, which was fun multiplayer if skill was matched well.

My suggestions are: Quake 3, Soldier of Fortune 2, and CounterStrike for multi-player (MP), and Deus Ex for SP.

i think the best strategy game in terms of popularity and all the good players played is AOK
starcraft and warcraft are awesome too

but i felt like AOK had an expert crowd playing it and it was getting really tuff

now AOM is out, ive tried the demo... didnt like it very much
i think ill install AOK during the break and get back into it for a few games with my friends
have a 5 hour battle
thats how long just one game can last

I like competition. Gets my heart going strong. I also like fighting stuff like dragons and beasties. I don't really want to go into killing people. I am way to stressed out for that - I would probably do well in it though. For thoughtless playing to vegitate, I like race car driving.

try need for speed 6
hot pursuit 2

and Dungeon and Dragons

EQ will be too complicated if you like simple games

Propig 12-17-2002 09:06 PM

Did I say I like simple games?????????????????? Just because I vegitate every now and then does not mean I like simple. I bet I could woop your butt any day!

eviltechie 12-17-2002 09:19 PM

lol

well just dont play EQ
it really is addictive
