DOES DIRECTX9 SUCK!?
 

so who liked it who doesn't and who recommends it.If you don't like it why?

I like DirectX 9... Thats what I'm using now, and I can tell a pretty big difference from 8.1... GTA3 and Unreal2003 seem to run at higher frame rates. And, I have yet to run into any problems...

However, I know nothing about your video card, so you should look into that.

well my grapgics card is built into my chipset it's a Sis 650 you can see it from my bios down there.........so i have no idea if it will work good with it or not but i'm getting a job soon and getting hopefully at leat a ATI Radeon 9000 with 128mb.

Since I don't know much about the SIS series chipsets, and most onboard video cards arn't that great...I'd just hold off on DX9. Now, I doubt anything would go wrong with your system, it may even run better...but just to be safe, I'd hold off till you get your Radeon...

Fire up Unreal2 and you'll see a difference. :)

dx9 rocks in my sys, gained me around 400 points in 3dse...

of course it is good

first benchmark program to utilize dx9

I have been running DX9 since shortly after it was officially released. No problems with any games or benchmark programs. I wouldn't bother installing it if I have an integrated graphics chip, though.

I've heard from a few people that there are some problems with DX9. I haven't loaded it. so I don't personally know. Maybe I'll get the next update for it.

wow tis post is old lol. but uh i'm not getting dx9 until i get my ati.
