and since it is only barebone
i dont think it is worth it

CPU cost 200, hdd cost 100, memory cost 100, batteries and some misc will all add up to a total of 500 or 600 USD

now plus that 829 USD barebone price...
ouch...

might as well get a true laptop that you dont have to recharge every 3 hours or something

I got US$1300 for 60 GB HD, 512 2700 DDR, and 2.4 P IV.

For a laptop price it will be cost for 1900....

Is it really true that it can be used with HD Desktop? How about the heat? My friends said that it will be very hot...

P4s arent that hot

Alienware's Area51M also can be customized with desktop P4s so it is doable

as for the hard drive, it is really skeptical to me...
