a new video game console
http://www.phantom.net/
I just read an article about it in Electronic Gaming Monthly May issue, that a company called Infinium Labs is launching a broadband only console, by this Christmas season. Now the info I read was unbelievable. They say it will be able to play PC games built into the system, games downloaded from Infinium servers, or pay-per-play subsription. Here are the specs OS- WIN XPe processor - 2.0+AMD or Intel 256-512MB ddr ram high capacity hard drive Wireless NIC, controller, keyboard, mouse Dolby Dig 5.1 And it will cost, get this, $600+ |
Nice...don't count on it lasting if Sony, MS, or Nintendo decide to come out with another console next spring.

It will be at least another year untill you see a new console from those three. probably late 2004 or 2005.

Jason425, I have a dreamcast and it is working just fine. It must have been a glitch in your systems.
I agree that Sony is the top of the consoles, but remember games like Zelda, Metroid Prime, Mario are only on Nintendo's systems. If you want to play those you will need to buy a gamecube. I know you, MIK3, will want to play Zelda after playing it on the N64. And the only way to play is on a Gamecube. I don't see a reason to get the Xbox, wow Xbox live  and only broadband I am going to get this second. Oh wait a minute the stores are all closed, darn. |
