firewall in your router.thats what it is. you gotta look in your manual it will say how to disable the firewall in there. but unless you have antivirus and/or software firewall then don't disable it.i recomend having both andtivirus and a software firewall.

i had the same prob with my d-link 604.. i think that was the model.. anyway go to your router seutp page.. for me its http://192.168.0.1 and enter your pass.. and i think you have to go to misc items.. then enable "IP address of DMZ host" then go to ipconfig and find the last 3 numbers.. put those in and click save.. that fixed it for me.. i know its confusing but gl anyway :/

putting your computer in the DMZ gives you no firewall at all..

search google for "msn messenger firewall information" and find out what ports you need opened/fowarded on your router

I have my firewall configured as follows, and Netmeeting works fine:

3 192.168.0.7 TCP 1503-1503 NETMEETING1
4 192.168.0.7 TCP 1720-1720 NETMEETING2
5 192.168.0.7 TCP 1731-1731 NETMEETING3

Yeah Jason, you would put a webserver or something you _want_ people on the outside to hit.

I would immediately change that setting back if I were you.
