2Fast 2 Furious: 2 thrilling or 2 dumb?

What are your guy's intake on the new sequal. I for one think that it will ruin the cars as we know them. Colored flames were never ever ment for performance vehicles, and I'm sorry...if you want to soop up a sports car, what ever you do, do not pick and Eclipse or Lancer. God, what were those producers thinking. The other setback is of course VinDiesel will be absent from the movie. I am looking forward to seeing the real performance cars in there...Skyline GT-R, Toyota Supra Twin-Turbo, and Mazda RX-7 and hope that the sequal will be good.

i understand there will be some real muscle cars as well. i do believe there is a chevelle, and there is that preview of the 'stang getting smashed up by the semi.

actually, the lancer (only if its an Evo, i'm not very versed in the import world) if its an evo is a nice machine. its a good rally car anyway, not drag.

IMHO, the Evo's suck. Even the Evo 8. For 20 grand more than the basic Lancer you can get it a lot faster than a 4.8 sec 0-60 yourself. That also means that there is only as much headroom on the Evo 8 to soup up performance as there is on the basic Lancer. I'd much rather start out at 5 seconds and get it down to 3.

About the movie, I don't think it will be as good. Dom is gone. The cars all suck. It's supposed to be a similiar plot.

MIK3 06-06-2003 02:59 PM

Yeah. The plot has gotten way more into the "Homie" ordeal. It's not realistic anymore. I'll still end up seeing it to see if it really is worth the media. I saw a trailer where they have sooped up trucks...(yes, what were they thinking). These aren't F-150 Lightnings or Extremes or anything, they are friggin huge dodge and ford diesles...and they run over cop cars so that the imports and domestics can escape the warehouse. Bleh.

just for future reference, there is nothing special about the Xtreme, its just a regular old S-10 with a factory body kit and factory drop. but, S-10s are perfect candidates for 350 swaps. i'd like to do that to mine one day, when i have money...meaning never.

Haha. Oh god, I know. Trust me...neither really count as performance vehicles for me. The F-150 Lightning is not that bad of a truck. Good speed, power, and accelleration for it's circumstances...but the Extreme, god. I'm sorry I used that as an example. I'm going to edit my post in a little bit. I just couldn't think of any other truck...Sorry again...haha.

:shake:
Look ya'll the cars are immense - the colour schemes could be rethought but i mean comon - skylines, chvy's, evo, spyder, rx-7, s2000, supra - wot more performance ridez could u ask for....????

MIK3 06-22-2003 04:58 PM

:rofl2: Haha. Those cars are nothing compared to the cars that real car enthusiasts know of. Haha...

Aemon_ 06-22-2003 09:33 PM

as far as imports go, the skylines, rx-7s, and s2Ks are bad. the supra is overrated in my opinion.

and yes, mik3 is correct, just a teenie bit of torque is nice. a few of the above have alittle bit, but not near as much as say, a, i dont know, 'vette (and not chevette), camaro, mustang, chevelle........

Well, you know when a person refers to performance vehicles as "ridez" it can't be good. Heh. And really...do you really want me to take the time to name the extensively long list?
