Goodbye Techwarelabs...I'll Miss You.

Yeah. I'm leaving. I'll see you guys around....

Make that around in 2 weeks. lol. Alright, sorry Uranium...but that was a very slick move you pulled about you leaving as well. And when I saw that...I was like pure genius. Haha...so I decided to make the best of what I saw. I'm off to Florida everyone and then California. I will be back in 2 weeks. My plan leaves tomorrow at 6 am. Take care all!

OMG that is so 1337. That'd take guts to do. I think the problem is, that I use so many other people's computers (who use Qwerty, like the other 99.9999% of the world), that I'd have to retain my Qwerty typing skills (which, according to what little I've read about learning Dvorak, would hinder my learning curve).

I applaud you, though.

eviltechie 07-13-2003 12:56 AM

woh woh woh
what is dvorak?

MIK3 07-13-2003 01:38 AM

Heh. It's a different kind of skill needed for a different type of keyboard.

For a better understanding, let's refer to our pals at techdicionary.com:

Search: Dvorak...............................Result: Dvorak Keyboard

Entry: A keyboard designed to make typing more efficient, using a different arrangement of letters than the QWERTY keyboard so that the letters used most frequently are all together on the main line of keys. The problem with converting to the Dvorak keyboard is that it would require all typists to relearn how to type.

In other words, going back to 6th grade and realizing that asdf jkl; is not home row.
