sidewinder gamepad usb game controller software v4 needed
 

Hi,
Just purchased a microsoft sidewinder gamepad usb game controller to replace my gameport version of the same gamepad, so I can use it with XP but it doesnt have the game controller software with it. Looked on the microsoft website and guess what - f*** all there - im now up the creek without a paddle until I find it cos that was the reason I purchased the usb version in the first place - because microsoft ceased releasing updates for the older sidewinder - the last version being 3.02 which is not compatable with XP. Would REALLY appreciate someone helping me out with ths one ive been searching the net for hours and im tearing my hair out here.. :cry:

Same thing here. the worst is that i still had Windows 98 and bought the usb game pad. the software does not work for USB on Windows 98 even though Microsoft says it does. I actually spend the $35 phone call to microsoft and they reimbursed me for the call since it is a problem with their product. The gamepad worked just fine until i installed the software then the whole thing bombed out. I'm looking for a new solution
