did you install any maps/textures/scripts recently? It looks like it's having a problem loading the intro

Aemon_ 11-01-2003 07:16 PM

thanks man.

after this happend, i uninstalled, restarted, the reinstalled. it got passed that, then it gave me an error, it said ran out of virtual memory, to clean off my hdd. i have nearly 6 free gigs!! i dont have a lot of ram though, so it could be the prob.

anyway, thanks for the help.

your page file isn't big enough, it isn't that you have 6 gigs. Increase the size of your page file, something between 500mb and a gig should be fine. (that's just a broad shot in the dark, I don't know how much ram you have, it makes a diff i hear)

hmm, i tried making my page file bigger, honestly, ive never dealt with it before, so i'm shooting in the dark. i attached my new error, and my virtual memory window too.

i'm running Win98SE, K6-2 400@420, 376mb ram. trying to run unreal tournament.

thanks people!

well i didn't even think that comp made it into the requirements of ut2k3. Try setting the page file at a static ammount, 800 should be fine. Just for kicks, check out www.pcpitstop.com and run the test and see if that says anything.

Uranium-235 11-02-2003 11:34 PM

he's running UT, not 2K3

oh, i'm retarded.. ok.. do you have the latest patch? you didn't say anything about what you did before or during the error.

Aemon_ 11-03-2003 09:42 AM

i'm actually loading the game, its never been run on my machine before. first run, wont load. i'll try to uninstall and reinstall again when i get home from work today.

thanks people.
