Thermal Paste?

Hi all,

Thermal Paste... Do I need it?

I'm installing a P4 3 gig chip on an intel board... will fire ensue if I don't use paste?

Thanks!

Only if you plan to overclock ur system

it doesnt hurt but go ahead and so it anyway

uh.. i think the stock intel fans have a "Thermal Pad" built in. You should get some thermal grease/paste/whatever. It's only like $10 and it lasts a long time.

get arctic silver 5
the performance is great and there are almost no side effects
just apply it with the instructions on www.arcticsilver.com website and all should be fine

it makes a big difference compared to generic silicon pastes
