AMD 2000xp Is it all its cracked up to be!!!
 

Hey ppl, Im currently building new PC Spec's are as follows

AMD 2000xp :o
Thermaltake Volcano 7+ heatsink
ASUS A7V333 KT333
Kingmax ddr333 (pc2700) :D
maxtor ATA133 40gig
Winfast g4 128mb ti4400
Aopen h900a 300W case
Sony 24/10/40 burner ???
pioneer 16x DVD
SB Live 5.1 and DTT5300 speakers
Sony E230 17" monitor ::)

Can anyone see a problem with this setup, or is it overkill????

Any advice would be Sweet!!!

consider watercooling, you can get good cheap systems and it is not only silent, it performs better too, and it is good even if you are a non overclocker ( you could also save some money be buying a XP1900 , spend it on a watercooling and overclock ya processor 66 mhz, so ya get a XP2000 and the temps wont rise over 1°C - if ya would go for a normal XP2000 and aircooling ya temps may be 10°C higher)

Thanks Guys!... -=aoC|PRoZaK=- Some nice ideas!!!  :o but im not going to void the warranty.... Yet! i'll wait 12 months then there will be no warranty!!  :'( Then in comes the water cooling... besides after buying this im broke!!!

Ive heard the 2100xp if watercooled can reach 2.6+ mhz!?, what would u suggest, i do if i were to go water!

with watercooling you could also make your system dust-free. dust can kill transistors. also, if you do watercooling, use distilled water, cuz it is pure water and pure water without all those minerals doesn't conduct electricity.

Not too hip on Water Cooling guys, I've heard that with water cooling you get condensation, is this correct?
