Once you get one piece of spam, you're pretty much screwed. Even if you could theoretically get off the main distribution list for the top list distributors, your email address would still be circulating, and then it'd just get right back on the list. What I don't understand is how people can actually bring themselves to make a big list that will infect millions of people with spam. Clearly they aren't so great that they don't get spam, so why the hell do they continue? What a bunch of assholes.

I hate spam!  I don't even know where these freakin spammers get my email address.  I have a personal one that I have never given to to any site, yet I still get tons of spam per day.  The delete key is my new found friend :)

god how that is so true! then had a thing on spammers on tech tv once, but i couldnt stay w/ the pace...i wish that i should have though, they said how to get rid of it through your system.  Hotmail for instance, i have a junkmail box and most of the time, it is the same spammer or a related spammer that keeps doing the crap!  I say that spamming should be just as illegal as hacking!!!  >:(
