heh, good stuff..... 2+ GB... ermm, who typed that?

Jason425 01-08-2004 06:21 PM

uh you? :/
I personally wouldn't put my system at risk with hacked alpha software.. nor would i take the time to DL 2 gigs.. days..

StinkyMojo 01-09-2004 03:29 PM

It wasnt a hacked version... just simply a a hacker leeching the alpha...

also, you may want to know that, odds are, if you dl it, it will be a .rar file, and those just about shrink them in half. i have the hl2 beta and it was only 1.25 gb or something like that.. took me about 8 hrs to dl.

its ok, nothing to write home about, i dont mean its not a good game, its just i dont want to get everyone hyped up over halflife when doom 3 is gonna be so much better.

(got the alpha for it aswell)

Jason425 02-12-2004 07:29 PM

i was kind of thinking the same thing (about these games being too hyped) all graphics no game :/

StinkyMojo 02-13-2004 10:30 AM

Ok doom3 connot be better. Maybe in the graphics department, but not better than the story and physics. From the dozens of movies I've seen, hl2 looks very reminiscent of the original hl in gameplay and originality... and thats a good thing. I am just awaiting both of these games and not being biased until the reviews come out. But my prediction: both game will be great and win editors choice awards in multiple sites and magazines.

Jason425 02-13-2004 09:35 PM

sounds biased to me... anyway HL2 will prob have a better story but doom will be a better thriller.. or more scary, however you want to say it.
