ATi Raedon 9000 issues
 

Ok, im in game Half life I pull 30 fps at console but in game I dont exceed 12 fps? This is a friends computer its a AMD 450 458mb RAM ATi Raedon 9000 64mb.. Any ideas?

Seems like something is eating up some resources to me... That config should give out more fps than that... Check the startup items that are being loaded and make sure its not a lot. Also if you are using XP be sure to turn the appearance to classic view and effects off. With that system though you should use win 98se or win2k.. What os are you using? what resolution are you playing at?

OS is win 2k pro and the res for the game is 640x480 windows res is 1152x864

get latest drivers and scan for spyware and other junk..

only bad thing about the spyware issue its a new install, and I had the newest drivers :/ :confused: also I downloaded the new drivers for the motherboard it's a Soyo board i'm not 100% sure of the quality of this board but my friend is a little computer illearate he wont know the difference :>

That makes 2 of us :) I went ahead and ordered the guy a syntax board amd 2100 and 512mb of ram, if that still dont act right. I'm gonna throw it :)
