Inventor of the WWW wins the Millenium Award
 

Tim Berners-Lee, the MIT scientist credited with the creation of the World Wide Web has just won the Millenium Aware to the tune of 1.2 million Dollars.

Is that sort of a consolation prize for not being able to patent it? Imagine the copyright and licensing fees he could have collected.
