Google Ads

What does everyone think of the Google ads?

From the clickthrough rates, it seems like many people are finding them useful.

Tell me what you think.

I think I might have clicked on one.. I almost never read them.. did now because you brought it up.. I just filter it out with my brain as another ad..

i liked the alienware ads but now they seem to be replaced by a marketbanker ad.

I dont much trust paid advertisements

I trust reviews and ratings better......

google ads are good

what im worried about is google text ads in gmail thats gonna be relevant to the email contents

james 04-22-2004 12:50 AM

i think the privacy concerns over gmail are overhyped. I mean, basically, a spam filter is going to be doing the same thing that the ad-server does. If you don't have a problem w/ spamfilters, then why content based ads? I mean, i do see the argument, but i think it is overhyped. otoh, who still needs ANOTHER email account?

Keefe 04-22-2004 02:08 AM

I'm seriously tired of hearing people complain about privacy concerns with Gmail. If people are worried about privacy, then don't f**king sign up for a Gmail account. It is as easy as that.
