help with ram
 

my computer has 4 ram slots two sdr and two ddr ive been using sdr one stick of 256 and one stick of 128 but im trying to switch to ddr but when i put the stick of 512 in my computer it dosent read it wont start up but if i put my old ram back in it works fine is there a seting i have to mess with before i switch ram

You cant have more than 1 type of RAM you have to get new SDD ram or you need to change your mobo and processor
