Atapi .sys SP1 error
 

I tried to install sp1 and sp2 (1 first then 2)

Both of them got the error that my atapi.sys file is in use.....close all programs and click retry

I closed everything except sp1 install and critical processes

Still wouldnt let me...


WHATS GOING ON?!

atati is cd-rom if i'm not mistaken.. so disconnect that and try again

its a laptop....

hmm....... wellllllllll - disable it in the bios or device manager?

figured it out

it was due to daemon tools

just uninstalled it and did sp1 then reinstalled

boy i wish i knew that......i did a complete format to get SP2 to install :(
