i have problem receiving files via icq after installing

i have problem receiving files via icq after installing.."Security Update for Windows XP (KB835732)"

my pc was infected by Sasser Worm, so i installed Security Update for Windows XP (KB835732)" as instructed by a friend of mine to protect my pc from future attack. but after installing that. i couldn't received files via icq. i m not using any router at the moment. can anyone help me with this problem? i have no prob with sending file.

Turn off windows firewall.

Also patching it wont make the virus go away its still there.........get some AV software to remove it.
