Never used it. I remember when it first came out.

I like seperate and more direct apps myself.

You know the deal when you buy something that is 21 things in 1 and one thingy breaks, you get to replace it all. I feel the same way about my software  :o

But again I have never used this software so I could be talking out my *$$

Re: Windows Commander

I feel handicapped working with explorer
editing, appstart, ftp , dosprompt, archive handling
as they were folders, app start etc.
But I had to "fool" myself to begin with, so that
hitting explorer icon took me to windows commander  :)
Fits on a floppy, takes little resources.
Has LPT cable connection possibility(laplink, lynx)
comes in 16-bit version for older systems.

Well as you can tell I'm really happy with it.
It was my use of Norton Commander on old dos machines
which got me interested in it (It is a clone of NC
like FAR is).

That's what's important isn't it? You're happy with it. Sounds like a good deal.

I remember the old Norton Commander. Wow does that bring back memories. Seems almost like yesterday doesn't it?  ;D
