error code 19?????????????
 

hi i recently got an external dvd rw drive, and LG black one, not a slim one.anywayz teh other day i tried to install it onto my desktop which has xp pro, 120GB Hdd 1GB ram etc... with two cd rw currently installed, one of dem is a combo that writes cd's and plays dvd disks,anywaz bk 2 my problem, when I tried 2 install the external usb dvd rw al of my cd drives didn’t work after dat! They r detected successfully on BIOS, but on My computer it doesn’t show up at all!, I tried 2 uninstall den reinstall the cd drives but I keep getting a message saying Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I tried 2 do system restore from the point of like a couple of days b4 I tried this new dvd rw and it always says that the system restore was incomplete??? Any other ways I can fix this problem? I have already service pack 1
