Intel locks 775 overclocking on chips
 

Intel included an overclocking-prevention mechanism into the 915/925 chipsets. So far, only Asus and Gigabyte know how to override it. You can start from the beginning or jump to where we discuss the overclocking lockout.

Put me down for $10,000 that says in two months the information on how to override this is old news. You can bet your bottom dollar if Asus and Gigabyte know how, the others will soon find out and impliment it.
