wireless or not?

Linksys is great, but I'm having to open up a bunch of ports because it doesn't really like static IPs, so my downloads time out....

not wireless

Prometheus 08-15-2004 03:30 PM

plug it into a hub which plugs into a basic wireless AP

unless u need WEP that would work fine

gnogtr 08-15-2004 03:59 PM

Yeah, any router that in non wireless should work just fine. But if you're tying to connect only 2 computers together, maybe you should just try a crossover, we use those for Xbox.

Router

I would have to say that (for me) the way to to go would be Wireless w/h WEP and then a Router that had all the options I wanted. Right now I have a Microsoft router w/h WiFi and WEP up to 128 MB.
