Code Red II Nastier Bug

The new Code Red II worm that is spreading across the Internet is nastier than the original, leaving back doors on infected computers that hackers could use to take over the machine, security experts warned Monday.

First detected on Saturday, Code Red II is a completely new worm, experts say. Although both the original Code Red and Code Red II exploit the same vulnerability in Microsoft's Windows NT or 2000 operating systems and IIS Web server software, the new worm has a much more dangerous payload.
