are u thinking like 3 or more LED lights sitting on a round plate with a wheel with a hole attached to it that rotates

and when the hole gets on top of the LED light, the light gets through...

thats one solution
but maybe something smaller is needed in order to fit into an orb

i gotta do more research on this
