Default Free-DC.org - A new Distributed Computing Communit

Hi Guys. This post might be considered spam but it is for a great cause. If the post is not within your rules, please delete it.

-----------------

Free-DC is a new umbrella organization designed to give it's members all the comforts of the large Distributed Teams, without being affiliated with a hardware/gaming website. We are free to run our teams as the members see fit. This concept has never been attempted before. We are completely free of parent websites. We are affiliated with no site or company.

Our organization was founded by experienced veterans of Distributed Computing. Our goal is to offer people who are not on a team now a full-service community where they can learn, communicate, and have fun.

Free-DC has established teams for Folding, Genome, Seti, Ubero, Eccp, Gimps, Dnet and D2OL. We offer membership in these teams at no cost. We are a free, non-profit organization.

If you are running a DC project now, but are not on a team, we invite you to look into Free-DC.

If you are not running a distributed computing project now, think about trying one. Currenty we have projects that fight cancer and other illnesses, perform mathmatical computations and code breaking, seek cures for small pox and anthrax, and one that looks for alien life in the stars.

If you are not familiar with Distributed Computing, we can explain it all and help you set up the client software. DC is a small program that runs unnoticed in the background. The program only uses the computer when no other programs are using it. There is little to no impact to your daily computer usage.  The benefits include the saving of lives and the creation of new medicines.

If this interests you, please visit our web site at www.free-dc.org and our forum at www.free-dc.org/forum

Other services include an IRC network, and custom statistics for all teams.
